Porbandar, Gujarat · 21.6425°, 69.6097°
One of the very few Indian temples dedicated to a mortal rather than a god, standing in Porbandar, the old Sudamapuri held to be Sudama's home. A modest early shrine, it was enlarged by Bhavsinhji Madhavsinhji into the present temple.
Sudama is remembered for going to Krishna in his poverty, a journey held up as the measure of true friendship.
