A small Divya Desam near Kollumangudi where Vishnu lies in a rare south-facing sleeping posture, one of only two such among the 108.

Sthala katha — the legend

For the aged sages Vyaghrapada and Patanjali, Vishnu is said to have taken a small reclining form - Bala Sayanam - so their failing eyes could behold him.
