Samadhi shrine of Sai Baba — the fakir-saint revered across Hindu and Muslim communities under his teaching 'Sabka Malik Ek' (One Master of all) — now among the most-visited and wealthiest pilgrimage centres in India. His dhuni fire, lit in his lifetime, still burns in the Dwarkamai mosque next door; udi ash from it is the shrine's prasad.
Baba arrived in Shirdi as a nameless youth; a temple priest greeted him 'Ya Sai' — welcome, saint — and the name stayed. He fed all, healed with ash, and promised from his tomb: 'I shall be active and vigorous even after leaving this earthly body.'
