A pilgrim village on the Tungabhadra in Kurnool district that holds the brindavana, or tomb shrine, of the Dvaita saint Raghavendra Tirtha (1621–1671), together with the matha built around it. Founded in the 15th century by Vibudhendra Tirtha at Kumbakonam and descended from Madhvacharya through Jayatirtha, it is one of the three principal Madhva monasteries known as the Mathatraya.
