A serpent-worship centre on the Kumaradhara river in Dakshina Kannada, resorted to by devotees seeking relief from doshas connected with snakes. Sthanika Brahmins were its founding priests until the early 20th century, when the office passed to Shivalli Madhva Brahmins; worship now follows Madhvacharya's Tantrasara Sangraha.
The serpent king Vasuki is said to have hidden here from Garuda and to be worshipped alongside Kumaraswamy, who slew the demons Taraka and Shurapadmasura on the nearby Kumara Parvatha.
