A rare sandstone khakhara-order temple of the early tenth century whose barrel-vaulted roof sets it apart from the rekha and bhadra deulas around it. Its boar-faced, pot-bellied Varahi seated in lalitasana with a fish and bowl is counted among the finest images of the goddess anywhere in India, and tantric rites including a daily fish offering continue here.
