The smallest of Kanchipuram's Divya Desams, where Narasimha presides as Alagiya Singar; Pallava in origin with Chola and Vijayanagara additions, it drew praise from several Alvars and acharyas.

Vishnu is said to have taken the man-lion form Narhari here to guard Brahma's horse sacrifice from demons.
