One of the eleven Thirunangur Divya Desams east of Sirkazhi, where Vishnu is Taamaraiyaal Kelvan, beloved of the lotus lady; its shrine uniquely houses festival images of both Rama and Krishna together.

Sthala katha — the legend

Arjuna is said to have dug the temple tank with a sword given by Krishna, who then appeared as Parthasarathy to begin his teaching here.
