A Shakta pitha at Sainthia in Birbhum whose present temple was raised in 1913. Its history is tied to the tradition of Sati's self-sacrifice at her father's ritual.

Sthala katha — the legend

The collarbone of Sati's body is said to have fallen here after Vishnu's discus dismembered it to calm Shiva's grief.
