History & significance

An east-facing Ashtavinayaka shrine whose main structure dates from the Peshwa period and was later renovated by Madhavrao I and Sardar Kibe of Indore.

Sthala katha — the legend

The presiding image, gifted by the local Khollam family of goldsmiths, is described as having ten trunks and twenty arms.
