तेली का मन्दिर
Gwalior Fort, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh · 26.2209°, 78.1649°
The tallest structure on Gwalior Fort, built on a rectangular sanctum plan whose proportions have long interested architectural historians. It was wrecked in the raids of 1232 and its stone reused in a mosque, then repaired by Major Keith between 1881 and 1883.
Local tradition ascribes the building to the oil-pressers' community rather than to a king or priesthood, though no inscription supports it.
