A goddess temple beside a lake in Warangal, recorded as built in 625 CE by the Chalukya king Pulakeshin II to mark his victory over the Vengi country. The Kakatiyas later took Bhadrakali as their family deity and the ruler Ganapati-deva had the adjoining lake dug; after long neglect the shrine was renovated in 1950.
