The ruined Vishnu temple raised by King Avantivarman at his new capital on the Jhelum, one of the finest surviving examples of 9th-century Kashmiri stone architecture. Its peristyle courtyard and carved plinths document Kashmir's Hindu building tradition before the 14th century.
Local tradition calls the ruins Pandav Lari, the house of the Pandavas.
